ABOUT SOLONGE BRAVE
Solonge (Shell) Brave’s first love was storytelling and writing making a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) English Literature a natural choice after school. She returned to study as a mature aged student to undertake a Masters in Biography and Life Writing as a passion project to write her father’s story as a Forgotten Australian and, along the way, feel in love with biography and oral history.
After many years working in event management and hospitality, she recently made a career change to tour guiding on a friend’s recommendation. She has also embarked on a Diploma of AUSLAN and hopes to see signing as an included and inclusive element to tours in the future.
Solonge’s professional associations include memberships with the Professional Historians Association, Oral History Association (Victoria) and Tour Guides Australia.
