In our third OSS session for 2025, Helen Penrose discusses the art of history project management.
She writes: "How long should I allow for research and writing? What about the turnaround time for a client to read the drafts? How many days do the indexer and copyeditor need? What about the designer, printing and shipping?"
If you have ever felt nervous about these questions and how to approach project management, this is the session for you! I will outline the manifold benefits of a proper project plan and my step-by-step approach to creating a comprehensive plan. The session will focus on how to do this for a commissioned history project, but my techniques will be applicable to any project undertaken by PHA members.
DATE: Tuesday, 15 July
TIME: 6.30 pm via Zoom
COST: Free to PHA members
NB: If you have registered for a previous OSS session you will need to re-register for the Zoom link. This session will be recorded and made available online at a future date.
Registration will open one month prior to the event.
